Marine Corps Attack Drone Team: Accelerating Lethality Through FPV Innovation

SessionWarfighting

The Marine Corps Attack Drone Team (MCADT) represents a rapid effort by the Marine Corps to operationalize lessons from modern conflict and integrate armed First-Person View (FPV) drone capabilities into the Fleet Marine Force. The MCADT builds on the Corps’ legacy of marksmanship and precision warfare to develop an additional layer of lethality within infantry battalions and littoral combat teams.

This panel will examine how the MCADT is leveraging competition, experimentation, and aggressive training to refine tactics, techniques, and procedures for offensive FPV drone employment, particularly in contested and radio frequency-denied environments. Discussion will highlight how the team integrates emerging technologies, informs doctrine and acquisition, and scales lessons learned across the Total Force to ensure Marine rifle squads are more lethal, adaptable, and prepared for the realities of the modern battlefield.
