Modern Day Marine is the largest military equipment, systems, services and technology exposition exclusively targeted to Marines and the Corps. The show floor hosts more than 350 exhibitors displaying the latest warfighting innovations and technology, presentations from influential Marines and DoD personnel, the OBJ1 Wargaming Convention, and more.

WHAT’S ON THE SHOW FLOOR AT MODERN DAY MARINE?

The Modern Day Marine show floor will be in Halls A & B of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The red boxes on the map above represent activations areas on the show floor and the green boxes are the locations where exhibitors will showcase their products and services.

MAIN BRIEFING CENTER

Hosting executive-level briefings on critical topics impacting the Marine Corps, allies, partners, and the entire Department of Defense, the Main Briefing Center is where influential leaders share insights on current policies, strategic developments, and emerging challenges facing the Marine Corps.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

WARFIGHTING PAVILION

The Warfighting Pavilion focuses on combat development, experimentation, and capabilities integration. It explores the strategies, tools, and innovations that shape modern Marine Corps combat capabilities, with an emphasis on how experimentation drives tactical and operational advancements. This area provides valuable insights into the ongoing development of new concepts and technologies that enhance mission success and prepare the Marine Corps for future challenges.

MARINE ZONE

Focusing on training, education, manpower, talent management, and community services, the Marine Zone highlights resources and opportunities available to Marines. It is designed to support career development, professional growth, and overall Marine welfare, making it a hub for those interested in enhancing their Marine Corps journey.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

DRONE ZONE

This exhibit showcases the latest unmanned technologies from the Department of Defense and defense industry partners. The Drone Zone highlights advancements in unmanned aerial systems and robotics, giving attendees a firsthand view of how these technologies are reshaping battlefield tactics.         

ACQUISITIONS PAVILION

This area provides essential briefings from program managers at Marine Corps Systems Command, PEO Land, NAVAIR, and others involved in the Marine Corps’ acquisition projects. It offers attendees an inside look into the latest acquisition priorities and projects, showcasing what’s coming next in equipment and technology to support Marine operations.

OBJ 1 WARGAMING

OBJ1 is a dedicated space for military wargaming enthusiasts, offering opportunities to engage in both computer-based and tabletop games. This convention brings together military wargaming experts, designers, and industry professionals to explore new scenarios, tactics, and strategies for Marine Corps operations.                                      

Heritage Pavilion

Celebrating the Marine Corps’ 250th anniversary, the Heritage Pavilion honors the Corps’ legacy of innovation and adaptation. This space highlights the rich tradition of the Marine Corps while emphasizing its ongoing evolution to address current and future threats, blending history with forward-looking initiatives.

WHAT EVENTS WILL BE AT MODERN DAY MARINE?

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony kicks off Modern Day Marine 2025 with an introduction from LtGen Charles Chiarotti, USMC (Ret) and senior Marine Corps officials to welcome attendees and officially open the expo hall. The event is open to all attendees, and offers a quick networking opportunity before exploring the expo hall.

OBJ 1 Wargaming Convention

This wargaming event provides a focused venue for demonstrations, game play, and networking among military wargaming practitioners, designers, and industry.  Attendees can participate in wargames, computer-based and table-top, or watch teams from MCU compete for the Commandant’s Cup.

Education & Employment Fair

This full day event is a vital platform designed to connect military personnel, veterans, and their families with leading employers and educational institutions. It will include valuable resources, networking opportunities, and insights into career development to enhance attendees’ professional futures.

Military Spouse Summit & Brunch

This Summit is a dynamic event dedicated to military spouses seeking connection, support, & empowerment. With informative sessions, networking opportunities, and inspiring speakers, it is designed to help spouses build connections and thrive in their personal and professional journeys.

Allies & Partners Luncheon

The Luncheon brings together senior leaders from the United States, allied nations, and industry to discuss future defense collaboration and innovation. This exclusive event offers a unique opportunity for strategic networking and insights into joint capabilities shaping tomorrow’s security landscape.

Allies & Partners Reception

This new event provides a unique opportunity for key stakeholders, including international military representatives, government officials, industry leaders, and Marine Corps personnel, to network, share insights, and foster collaboration. This reception offers a platform for strengthening relationships, forging new connections, and celebrating the shared commitment to security and defense.

Congressional Breakfast

The Congressional Breakfast will provide congressional staff, industry leaders, and Marine Corps senior leaders a platform to discuss the strategic value and global perspective of the Commandant’s legislative priorities and celebrate the Marine Corps’ rich 250-year history and continuing relevance in today’s security environment.

Grand Gala & Awards Ceremony

The Grand Gala is a high value networking opportunity for industry to connect with Marine Corps leadership, MCSC personnel, and their influencers in the government space. The event includes a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and presentation of the Dickey Chappelle and the Iron Mike Awards .

Marine Corps Small Business Symposium

Attendees will have the opportunity to acquire a comprehensive understanding of MCSC Portfolios, PEO, PMs, and I&L Opportunities. This encompasses a wide range of topics, including the Contracts Developmental Program, Ground Weapons Systems, Combat Support Systems, Tactical Communications & Electromagnetic Warfare Systems, and more. 

Semper Fidelis Reception & Closing Ceremony

An informal happy hour style networking opportunity to close the final day of the show in the Main Briefing Center area for all industry and DoD constituent groups. Traditionally hosted by the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, the reception will include beer, wine, nonalcoholic beverages, and appetizer service.
