Major Aich is a Course Director at Expeditionary Warfare School. 

Major Aich enlisted in 2006 as a Special Intelligence Communicator. Following initial training, she was assigned to 1st Marine Division. Major Aich deployed with Regimental Combat Team 7 to Helmand Province, Afghanistan from October 2009-October 2010, serving as an intelligence analyst at the Regiment and Battalion-level. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Management from Park University in 2010. Also in 2010, Major Aich was assigned to Marine Corps Detachment Corry Station as a Formal Schools Instructor and Operations Chief. She completed her Master of Business Administration in International Business from Park University in May, 2012. Major Aich was commissioned through the Enlisted Commissioning Program in 2012. 
Following The Basic School, Major Aich attended Signals Intelligence Officers Course and was assigned to 2d Radio Battalion where she served as a Platoon Commander and Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Detachment OIC. In 2016, Major Aich deployed with the 22d MEU as the Radio Battalion Detachment OIC, supporting operations in AFRICOM and CENTCOM. Major Aich was selected via the Commandant’s Career Level Education Board to attend resident Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS) in academic year 2017-2018. 
Following EWS and attending MAGTF Intelligence Officer’s Course, Major Aich was assigned to 3d Marine Raider Support Battalion. She served as a Direct Support Team OIC and deployed with Marine Special Operations Company K to Somalia/Kenya in 2019-2020. 
Major Aich was then assigned to Joint Special Operations Command as a Task Force Deputy J2. She deployed from 2020-2021 in support of global counter-terrorism operations. Following the deployment, she served as a Task Force Deputy J2 in support of integrated deterrence. Major Aich then deployed in 2022-2023 as a Task Force Deputy J2 in support of a global counter-terrorism mission and leading a team of joint, interagency, and international partners. 
Major Aich was subsequently selected to serve as a Faculty Advisor for Expeditionary Warfare School. She served as a Faculty Advisor for two academic years. In academic year 2026, Maj Aich serves as the course director for the Military Adaptation and Innovation course and Armed Forces Officer course, the wargaming director, and serves as an advisor to the Artificial Intelligence elective, China Scholars, and is the sub-course director for the Intelligence Occupational Field Expansion Course. 

Major Aich is a distinguished graduate of Officer Candidate School, The Basic School, and Command and Staff College Blended Seminar Program. Major Aich’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with “C” device, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with four gold stars.  

Major Aich is married to Daniel Carlson. They welcomed their daughter, Adaline, in April, 2024.
