
LtCol Joseph Taylor
Program Manager, WargamingLtCol Taylor entered military service with the Missouri Air National Guard in 2006 as an Aircraft Structural Maintenance Technician with the 131st Fighter Wing in St. Louis. He was subsequently commissioned in the United States Marine Corps in 2008. After completing The Basic School in 2009, he qualified as a 7208, Air Support Control Officer. He currently serves as the Program Manager for Wargaming Capability (PM WGC) with Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, Virginia.
His Fleet Marine Force assignments include Air Support Control Officer (Okinawa, Japan/Cherry Point, North Carolina) Officer-in-Charge for detachments supporting exercises throughout INDOPACOM, CONUS, and a deployment with the 22nd MEU in support of the Global War on Terror.
His supporting establishment assignments include Series Commander for 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, Assistant Operations Officer for Recruit Training Regiment, and Company Commander for Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island (MCRD PI), South Carolina.
His acquisition assignments include Executive Officer, Manpower Analyst, and Action Officer with Marine Aviation Detachment NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. Before assuming command as PM WGC, he served as Program Integrator for Defense Contract Management Agency at General Electric-Aerospace in Lynn, Massachusetts.
LtCol Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Northwest Nazarene University, a Master of Arts degree (with High Distinction) in Executive Leadership from Liberty University, and a Master of Science in Manpower System Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA. He is a graduate of Expeditionary Warfare School (nonresident) and Command and Staff College (nonresident), Marine Corps University.
His personal decorations include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Award (2 Gold Stars in Lieu of Third award), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Award (2 Gold Stars in Lieu of Third award).
LtCol and Mrs. Taylor have been married for 23 years and they have four children and two dogs.
