
Col Erick Clark
Branch Head Future Operations, Plans, Policies, and OperationsColonel Clark brings a wealth of operational experience and strategic insight to the Ground Systems Enterprise (GSE) Senior Leader Summit outbrief. As the current Branch Head for Future Operations, Plans, Policies, and Operations, he is at the forefront of shaping the Marine Corps' path forward.
His journey began as an enlisted infantryman in 1991, giving him a ground-level perspective on the needs of the Fleet. Throughout his distinguished career, Colonel Clark has commanded at every level, from leading a platoon with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit to commanding 1st Battalion, 7th Marines during its deployment as a ground combat element for Special Purpose MAGTF Central Command. He has served multiple tours in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, earning the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for his leadership in action.
Colonel Clark’s extensive staff assignments, including roles as a tactics instructor, strategic plans officer, and Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations for the 3d Marine Division, have provided him with a deep understanding of Marine Corps modernization and readiness priorities. A graduate of the National War College with a Master's in National Security Strategy, he is uniquely qualified to discuss how the outcomes of the GSE Summit will equip the warfighter for the challenges of tomorrow.
