Artillery Officer

Captain Miller is from Bulverde, Texas. He graduated from Officer Candidates School (OCS) in March 2019. He attended Prairie View A&M, graduating in 2018 (Magna Cum Laude) with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He works for the Deparetment of the Navy as a Systems Engineer (ND-04) in a civilian capacity. 
 
After college graduation, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and reported to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia. Upon completion, Second Lieutenant Miller attended the Marine Artillery Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, graduating in May 2020.
 
Following graduation, Second Lieutenant Miller reported to Headquarters Battery, 3d Battalion, 12th Marines, where he served as the Battalion S4A and Headquarters Battery Executive Officer. During this period, he was promoted to First Lieutenant. In August 2021, First Lieutenant Miller reported to Battery D, 2d Battalion, 14th Marines, where he served as Fire Direction Officer and Fires Plans Officer. In November 2021, he deployed to Okinawa, Japan, in support of Unit Deployment Program (UDP) 22.1 and assumed duties as the Battalion Fires Plans Officer for 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines. First Lieutenant Miller redeployed to Fort Bliss in May 2022 and was assigned as Current Operations Planner for Joint Task Force North. During this period, he was promoted to Captain and returned to the reserves.
 
In September 2023, Captain Miller reported to Battery D, 2d Battalion, 14th Marines and assumed duties as the Battery Executive Officer. In July 2024, Captain Miller deployed to Security Assistance Group Ukraine and assumed duties as a Future Plans Officer. In July 2025, Captain Miller reported to Expeditionary Warfare School.
 
Captain Miller's personal decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal (oak leaf cluster in lieu of second award), Army Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (gold star in lieu of third award).
