Expo Location
The 2024 Modern Day Marine Expo will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center located at 801 Mt. Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC 20001.
Registration
Modern Day Marine is FREE, but you must register to attend the show. You can register here before the show to avoid long lines onsite and reserve your space at show events or register at the Convention Center.
If you register online, bring your registration confirmation (printed or on your phone) and photo ID to the show to pick up your badge. Registration is outside of Hall B (the expo is in Halls B & C).

Transportation
Complimentary Buses
Complimentary round trip buses from the Quantico area to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center will be available to all attendees and exhibitors on a first come first served basis. The estimated travel time is 45 minutes. The bus schedule will be available in April.
Washington Metro
The Metrorail system serves 91 stations throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. If traveling to the Convention Center by metro, take the Orange, Red or Yellow lines to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station or ride the Green and Yellow lines to the station at Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street Convention Center.

Train
Parking
Over 3,000 parking spaces are located within a three-block radius of the Convention Center including surface lots and garages. Exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to use these public parking facilities. Parking regulations are heavily enforced in the Convention Center’s surrounding residential areas. There is no public parking at the Convention Center. Click here for a map of available parking (be sure to click the PARKING button at the bottom of map).
Twelve metered public parking spaces, designated for vehicles displaying disability permits or tags, are located on 9th Street.
- Three spaces on the east side of 9th Street, between Mt. Vernon Place & L Street
- Three spaces on the east side of 9th Street, between L & M Street
- Three spaces on the east side of 9th Street, between M & N Street
- Three metered, public parking spaces on 7th Street, between Mt. Vernon Place and L Street.
Parking signs are posted, indicating a two-hour parking limit, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
Attire
Civilians
The attire for general expo attendance is business casual, business attire for the Congressional Breakfast, and black tie for the Grand Gala & Awards Ceremony.
Military Members
The uniform of the day for general expo attendance, the Congressional Breakfast, and the Allies & Partners Luncheon is Service C or equivalent. The uniform for the Grand Gala & Awards Ceremony is Evening Dress, Blue Dress A, or equivalent.

Modern Day Marine App
