Michael Orr leads SNC’s efforts to deliver cutting edge technology to the US Marine Corps with a focus on maritime targeting, electronic warfare, and long-range fires.Prior to joining SNC, Mike served as a career Marine Corps Officer with over 3,800 hours in the F/A-18 Hornet and V-22 Osprey. During his time in service, Mike commanded VMFA-251 and completed two combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan aboard the USS Enterprise as part of Carrier Air Wing ONE. As Commander of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center, Mike led over 600 scientists, engineers, military, and interagency professionals working on unconventional approaches to a wide variety of national security challenges. As Commander of Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron Twenty Two, Mike was responsible for operational testing of Marine Corps aviation platforms –both manned and unmanned. He led the squadron in conducting experimentation and concept development for all new USMC aviation initiatives. While instructing at the National War College, he served as USMC Chair and trained future military and civilian leaders in national security strategy.Since joining SNC in 2018, Mike has worked as a Senior Director, Government Relations, where he spearheaded efforts to develop new technology for the US Marine Corps. Mike then served as Vice President, Business Development for Electronic Warfare and Cyber, supporting the men and women building next generation EW equipment for multiple government agencies. Mike has served as Vice President, Government Relations since January 2021 and is passionate about delivering innovative technology to SNC’s government customers.
