Expeditionary Radars Program ManagerUSMC

Ms. Barbara Gault serves as the Program Manager for the Expeditionary Radars Program Office under Program Executive Officer Land Systems.  Her portfolio includes the Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) ACAT IC program and the Medium Range Air Defense Radar (MRADR) Middle of Tier Acquisition under the Multi-Domain Radar in a Contested Environment (MuDRaCE) Family of Systems. Ms. Gault is responsible for program planning, budget, research, development, integration, testing, procurement, fielding, and sustainment efforts for these programs.   

Ms. Gault joined the USMC team as the Product Manager (PdM) for the Common Aviation Command & Control System Feb 2013 – Aug 2017.  She then attended the National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School Aug 2017 – Jun 2018, where she earned an MS in National Resource Strategy.  Ms. Gault served as the PdM for the Assault Amphibious Vehicle Jun 2018 – Feb 2019 followed by a tour as the Deputy Program Manager for the G/ATOR Program Office.  Before joining the USMC, she held various assignments within Naval Sea Systems Command from Jun 2003 – Feb 2013, including positions within PEO Integrated Warfare Systems Command & Control Directorate as the Lead Systems Engineer for Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Joint Forces Integration; Lead Systems Engineer for CEC Common Array Block Antenna modernization; Systems Engineer for the Maritime Integrated Air and Missile Defense Planning System; and program analyst for Common Network Interface, Area Air Defense Commander Capability System, and CEC Signal Data Processor Pre-planned Product Improvement.  As part of the Naval Acquisition Intern Program, she held mechanical engineering rotational assignments at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock, NSWC Dahlgren, and NSWC Indian Head.

Concurrent with her civilian career, Ms. Gault commissioned directly into the United States Navy Reserve in May 2008 as an Engineering Duty Officer, qualifying in Apr 2013.  Her duty assignments included Executive Officer (XO) NAVSEA Strike Force Interoperability Unit, XO NAVSEA Command Center Unit, and Engineering Duty Candidate in the NAVSEA Headquarters Unit.

Ms. Gault of Alexandria, VA graduated from the Florida State University in 2003 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and from the George Washington University in 2008 with an MS in Engineering and Technology Management.  Ms. Gault is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps and holds a DAWIA Level III qualification the Program Management and Level II in the Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering career fields.

Her personal awards include the Civilian Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards).  She is a recipient of the 2015 Marine Corps Systems Command Acquisition Excellence Award for Excellence in Program Management, the 2006 PEO IWS Team Award for Excellence in Acquisition, and the 2005 NSWC Indian Head Roger M. Smith team award for technical achievement.
