
Francisco Badiola
Chief of Staff, MR Business and Support ServicesFrancisco Badiola ("Cisco") was born in Connecticut and raised in Stamford and in Miami, Florida. He declined a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship and reported to MCRD Parris Island for recruit training in 1999. He then attended Marine Combat Training and Personnel Administration School aboard MCB Camp Lejeune, graduating as the Honor Graduate.
Cisco reported to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines aboard MCB Hawaii and completed 2 deployments to the Western Pacific as part of the Unit Deployment Program. In 2003, he reported to Marine Corps Air Bases Western Area (COMCABWEST) aboard MCAS Miramar. In 2006, he transitioned to civil service at the air station.
Resigning from civil service in 2008, Cisco was selected as a consultant and Senior Analyst, supporting the Air Force’s logistics Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system on the Air Staff. In 2009, Cisco returned to civil service as a Financial Management Analyst with Headquarters Marine Corps. In 2012, Cisco assumed duties as a Defense Policy Review Initiative (DPRI) Program Manager with Installations and Logistics, supporting the Marine Corps' Pacific realignment. In 2014, he was selected as the Deputy Director of Operations for Marine Corps Installations Command. In 2021, he transitioned to the Plans Division and served as the Director of Plans until he assumed duties as the Chief of Staff, Business and Support Services Division (MR) in September 2024.
Cisco graduated Summa Cum Laude with an AS in Business Management from Barstow College, Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Social Sciences from Chapman University, and holds a MBA and MS in Finance from Webster University, MS in National Resource Strategy from National Defense University’s Eisenhower School, and is a Certified Defense Financial Manager with Acquisition specialty. He has completed additional graduate-level coursework at George Mason University and was a student fellow at the Center for Security Policy Studies.
Cisco’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Civilian Service Award (2nd award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (gold star in lieu of 2nd award).
