Capt Riley White

Student, Expeditionary Warfare School

Captain White is a native of Stafford, Virginia. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He received his commission through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps in May 2019. He then reported to the Officer Selection Office in Charlottesville, Virginia until September 2019. He graduated from The Basic School in April 2020. After graduating, he attended and graduated from the Infantry Officer Course Class 3-20 in June 2020.

Following graduation, he reported to 2d Battalion, 2d Marines and served as the Platoon Commander for 2nd Platoon, Golf Company. He deployed with Golf Company on Unit Deployment Program 21.1 to Okinawa, Japan in February 2021. While on deployment, he transferred to Weapons Company and was assigned as the Anti-Armor Platoon Commander. Upon redeployment, he remained with Weapons Company serving as the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer until October 2022. Captain White moved to the operations section to serve as the Assistant Operations Officer until January 2023.  

Captain White reported to The Basic School in January 2023. He served as a Warfighting Instructor, Staff Platoon Commander for Bravo Company 2-24, and Executive Officer for Echo Company 5-24.

In July 2025, Captain White checked into Expeditionary Warfare School. Captain White is assigned to 2d Battalion, 1st Marines following graduation in May 2026.
